The nonstop gossip surrounds Apple’s genius Smart watch – the iWatch (as they have filed for the trademark protection of this name in Japan, Russia, Mexico and Taiwan, according to various reports) is gaining heat day by day as this would be Apple’s first new venture after Steve Jobs’ death and its very first step towards the wearable technology domain, like that of the Google Glass by Google. According to Bloomberg, Apple has a team of around 100 designers working on "a wristwatch-like device that may perform some of the tasks now handled by the iPhone and iPad". That information is said to be based on conversations with two people familiar with the company's plans.
As there are no solid announcements yet from Apple’s side regarding this device, still it is expected that this wearable gadget would allow the users to access their iPhone or iPad without troubling themselves to take them out of the pocket or sleeve respectively. According to NYT's Nick Bilton and others familiar with the company's explorations, "Apple is experimenting with wristwatch-like devices made of curved glass". The watch may have Siri – the always reliable Apple’s Smart Digital Assistant, maps and health monitoring (in broader aspects) as it would work with the iOS platform.
Though people all over the world would love to wait for this fresh venture by Apple, still the paths don’t seem smooth for this much rumored device. The announcements made by Samsung and Microsoft confirmed earlier show they are ready to unveil products in the wearable electronics market very soon as well. Sony was the first to start this movement by its SmartWatch and now it also has announced regarding the launch of its newer versioned SmartWatch 2.
So now it is the perfect time for the people who are looking forward to buy themselves wearable electronics to stay tuned - wait and watch and then go for the product!
